Amy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I became obsessed with tarot and astrology at a young age. I began by doing readings for my friends during recess. As I grew I started reading for strangers and would trade them for trinkets. Now, as an adult I charge a fee and travel to people’s homes and places of business to do readings and connect with others in the community. It is absolutely a dream come true.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Growing up and currently living in the midwest has been a challenge. There are people who despise what I do. I’ve had people try and convince me that what I do is wrong. Or that what I am channeling in my readings is the devil. I don’t see it that way. I see the tarot and astrology as a way to be introspective about our lives and the energy that surrounds us. It’s a tool for self help and healing and has made a tremendous impact on who I am today.
