Hi Racquel, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I’m so excited to introduce you to El Café Cubano, a mobile Cuban Coffee Café that brings the flavors of Cuba to Kansas City. I’m deeply inspired by my Cuban culture and the rich culinary heritage of my roots. Visiting Cuba several times yearly, I have immersed myself in my grandmother’s recipes, learning the art of crafting traditional Cuban coffee.

What inspires me most are the memories passed down through generations, recounting the culture and traditions of the Cuban people that existed long before my time. Our coffee not only embodies the flavors of the island but also serves as a bridge to its artistic heritage. Each cup of our authentic Cuban coffee invites you to savor the fusion of flavors and history that make Cuba truly unique.

My passion for sharing this cultural experience led me to establish El Café Cubano, filling the void of authentic Cuban coffee in my hometown.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
While the journey has been rewarding, it hasn’t been without challenges. Balancing the demands of starting a mobile Cuban Café business while preserving authentic traditions and navigating the complexities of the coffee industry has been a learning experience.

One additional challenge has been securing funding for my startup mobile Cuban Café business, which has presented a few challenges along the way.

We specialize in serving authentic Cuban coffee crafted with traditional methods and high-quality ingredients. We have extensive experience in the culinary and hospitality industry, with a strong background in creating memorable dining experiences and providing exceptional customer service.

Our business is known for its rich and bold flavors that transport customers to the streets of Havana. We take pride in our commitment to delivering a true Cuban coffee experience, setting us apart from others in the industry.

What’s next?
El Café Cubano is considering setting up a stationary coffee shop in a high-traffic location to reach a wider audience and establish a more permanent presence in the community.
