Conversations with May Yang

Today, we’d like to introduce you to May Yang.

May Yang

Hi May, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
LP’s Farm has been owned and operated since 2013 as a part-time hobby. We love the farm-to-market concept and offer produce that is not offered in many local grocery stores. We have an extensive selection of herbs and greens.

You’ll also find that we offer fresh-cut flowers, from tulips in the spring to sunflowers and dahlias in the summer to coxcomb in the fall. We love what we do, and as of 2024, we run three different markets every Saturday from April to October.

Let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Having your own farm business is not easy. It takes a lot of planning, patience, and hard work. When everything is plant outside, you depend on Mother Nature to play nice, on a good year your cops grow but on a harsher year you’ll have to re-plant multiple times.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Here at LP’s Farm, we are dedicated to delivering the best and fresh home/locally grown produce and fresh cut flowers.

We are quickly becoming known for our beautiful and unique flower bouquets. We offer many varieties of flowers throughout the year, from tulips and peonies in the early spring to dahlia and coxcomb in the summer to fall.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I never thought that I would fall in love doing this. I love working with flowers, putting a bouquet together, and seeing the smiles on my customer’s faces.
