Today, we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Page.
Michelle, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My blog was a natural extension of my personal growth and introspection. At the heart of it all is over three decades of spiritual seeking that I felt compelled to distill and publish. I hope that it will inspire someone on their journey out of anxiety, avoidance, or addiction. It’s become a labor of love.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I would say it’s been monastic. Writing requires a deep commitment to silence and routine. Each distraction overcome, each moment of doubt conquered, strengthens my resolve. The blog pushes me to grow and evolve.
It’s taught me the value of perseverance, discipline, and the power of staying true to a vision.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe you can tell us more about your work next?
My humble beginnings in life instilled a sense of empathy and resilience. Because of that, I’m committed to uplifting others, particularly young women. They are striving to discover themselves while up against enormous cultural challenges. My post, “An Open Letter to Young Women,” struck a chord with them. Their overwhelming response has made me feel more inspired than ever. It gave deep meaning to the whole project.
My greatest joy lies in using my platform to empower and uplift others.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the COVID-19 crisis?
I’ve learned that our art—writing, painting, music, or any other creative expression—is a lifeline. It’s a means of connecting with ourselves and others. It’s how we make sense of the world and our place within it.
The universe rewards us when we give life to the creative impulses that stir within. Art transcends all the material trappings of the rat race. It taps into a more profound sense of life. Through it, we can reclaim our agency and autonomy in a world that often seeks to diminish them.
