Hi Viktoria, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Bespoke Beaute Lab is the culmination of my lifelong love of makeup and an entrepreneurial drive instilled in me by my mother. She and I emigrated from Hungary to the United States when I was young; shortly after we settled in Kansas, she channeled her creativity and love of knitting into a small in-home business that she steadily grew over the years.

My interest in business and supply chain led to a career in product management with a side stint as a fitness instructor, but over the years, I’ve dabbled in projects parlaying my passion for makeup, including a short-lived social media experiment reviewing drugstore cosmetics during the pandemic.

My journey to Bespoke Beaute Lab began unexpectedly during a girls’ trip, as we stumbled upon a storefront offering a unique experience: creating our own lip gloss and lipstick. Having purchased hundreds of store-bought lip products and never quite found my perfect shade, I was wowed by this concept.

After returning home to Kansas City, I dove into research and discovered a gap in the local market for a similar offering. Recognizing the opportunity, I embarked on the exciting venture of bringing a personalized beauty experience to the region.

For now, Bespoke Beaute Lab is my passion project – one that has resulted in many busy evenings and weekends since launch – and our early success has exceeded my wildest expectations.

Let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
As we’re still in the early stages of developing the Bespoke Beaute Lab, we are constantly learning and adapting.

Our team is experimenting with different formats and refining the concept to provide the perfect experience for our customers. Currently, pop-ups, public events, and private parties are our most popular services, but we are also seeking to open a storefront, which creates a fresh set of challenges.

We’re encountering new milestones daily. While we are grateful for the overwhelmingly positive reception, we were unprepared for the demand and have experienced inventory and supply chain issues. Finding a quality supplier for our packaging was also difficult.

Marketing has been another hurdle. Because we are so new and the experience is unfamiliar to many people in the area, producing compelling and informative content is key. But we must also establish trust in the quality of our products as well as in our team to ease any customer concerns over us entering their homes and being a key part of their celebrations. Word of mouth and referrals are so important here, but we know building awareness and credibility takes time.

Bespoke Beaute Lab offers custom blend lip gloss and lipstick-making experiences for all ages.

We are currently hosting in-home private parties and participating in pop-up events around the Kansas City metro. Our experience is ideal for special events, including birthdays, bridal showers and bachelorette parties, girls’ nights, team bonding, or just because. The process is simple:

· Step 1 – Pick your base. We offer lip gloss, matte liquid lipstick, and crème or matte lipstick.

· Step 2 – Choose your custom lip color. Select a pre-made shade from our inspiration sheet, or create your own. We work with each guest, tinkering with pigment ratios and shimmers until it’s perfect for you.

· Step 3 – Add a scent. With scents like Mimosa, Strawberry, Lime & Coconut, and Vanilla – you’ll find one that matches your personality.

· Step 4 – Include a beneficial additive, such as Sunscreen, Moisture, Anti-Aging, or Lip Plumper.

· Step 5 – Our team will pour and package it up. We save your formula, so you can re-order anytime.
